Mueller article summary

Planetofsuccess.com, published an article written by Steve Mueller named “Steven Covey’s Time Matrix Explained” about Stephen Covey, a famous writer and spokesperson’s book titled The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. In Covey’s book, he creates a chart named the time management matrix. This chart is shown by Mueller to explain that it is a way for busy people to manage their time wisely. There are four quadrants and each of them is used to help prioritize what a person should spend their time on. In order: quadrant one should include important things that must be dealt with urgency like deadlines or emergencies. Quadrant two should include important things that are not as urgent such as social life or long term goals in life. Quadrant three is used to include distracting things that need to be done so you can get them out of the way, and Quadrant four should be used for activities that serve no purpose, waste your time and should be taken out entirely Mueller suggests. “Important responsibilities contribute to the achievement of your goals”. While “Urgent responsibilities require immediate attention” per Steve Mueller. The chart is an effective way to see how much time you spend on activities and can show you what you might want to spend more time on (Steve Mueller).
